Michael Bernier is a native Texan who spent over thirty years of his life living in north Georgia near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. An application developer and engineer by trade and a self-proclaimed technology geek, he moved back to Texas in 2000.  In 2009, with encouragement from family and friends, he added “author” to his list of titles, exploring his creative writing abilities by penning his first (as yet unpublished) novel, as well as several shorter works which are featured on this blog’s parent site, www.sharedwords.net.

Michael is married and has two living children. Sadly, he lost a third child in a tragic accident in June of 2010.
